Lots of Layouts

Here are some layouts that I've done over the past couple of weeks. I've been using some old photos cos I don't seem to be taking many new ones lately. The first one is of my Mum and Auntie is Kos 5 years ago, they were ordering rather rudely named cocktails hence the title.....
This one is using the October Gogo kit and a really old pic of me!
Next I just had to cut into my Nutmeg papers so I used this photo of my grampy and me when I was just a couple of weeks old......
I was really pleased with the little paper flower I made.......
Next OA Farm Fresh. Another old picture of me......
I made this pleated paper detail which I was pleased with and of course some obligatory stitching......
And OA Report Card with my nursery class photo......
I did these multi coloured cross stitches and couldn't resist another paper flower.......
Today I got a parcel from Sarah's Cards, I probably shouldn't tell what was in it cos you lot will tell me off for making you all want it, but seriously check out the two new Bella Blvd ranges....YUM! They were a nice surprise cos I hadn't even heard that there were new ranges coming out, just need to find time to play with them!

This One's For Kim

So I've been back from my hols for a few days but went straight to house/pet sit for Kim and Rich so not having my computer meant I couldn't upload my pics to blog. Anyway the first thing Kim said she wanted to do when she arrived home was read my blog and was dissappointed when I said I hadn't blogged yet, so here I go.....

My hols were lovely, we were lucky with the weather and I had a lovely week with Mum and Dad, two aunties and uncles and my cousins Matt and Harry. My fatigue was quite well under control so I managed to do three walks which is pretty good going. I didn't take many photos cos I have so many of the moor so I just try and take a few different ones each time.

We went to a couple of new places and revisited some old faves. Here's Harry at Hay Tor.....
The gorgeous Burrator Reservoir, can't believe I've managed the best part of a decade without properly seeing this place....awesome.

Me and the old folks!!
The gang......
A group shot with an autumnal twist that will hopefully go with my new Nutmeg Papers and entirely taken for that purpose...... I know I'm sad!!!
While I was away I did 4 layouts which I haven't photographed yet but I will get onto that tomorrow. We also managed to enjoy the local mini beer festival (I forgot my camera tho!) it was so cool all the beers had Halloween themed names so I spent most of the evening drinking Buckets of Blood!!!!!
Since I've been back I've been intent on making a dent into homemade Christmas pressies and cards. I want all of that done plus my Christmas shopping by the end of this month so that I can spend December doing lots of Christmassy things, working on my Christmas journal and most of all enjoying all the lovely things that will be going on in School. Over the last few days I've managed to make a present for my Reflexologist, 60 mini cards for my two classes at school, plus finish a couple of things I started before I went away. I will share some photos when I've unpacked it all tomorrow.
Thats all for now back tomorrow with more photos xx

Sunday Best

I haven't shared with you the LO I did with this months Bellaboo kit. I featured the new Sassafrass Sweet Maramalde papers, I was really glad to have the chance to work with this kit as I think I probably wouldn't have chosen the papers myself but have actually ended up buying more of the papers since! This is a pic of my twin cousins at my baby cousins christening......
And here is some close up detail.
I am loving liquid pearls at the moment, they add a lovely bit of detail and texture.
Back soon xx

Try Something New

When I recieved my August Gogo kit, which seems like ages ago now, I didn't think I'd end up using this piece of paper. But this is what I love about the kits is that it gives me a chance to try something different that I might not normally try and on this occasion I was really glad I did.
These pics were taken on my nieces 21st birthday and they were so much fun that they were just perfect for this kit. The little cupcakes were great for the birthday theme and I just added a mixture of Thickers and some pink stones. So a piece of paper that I didn't think I liked turned into a LO I was really pleased with, good huh?!

Hairy Nice

This day was so funny it just had to be scrapped! I once bought Dad a packet of stick on eyebrows for a joke Crimbo pressie and for some reason they appeared one Sunday teatime. The kids had such a laugh with them!

All papers are WRMK and I just added a few other bits.

Pool Party

While I'm away on holiday I've scheduled some posts for your perusal. I found a few LO's that I hadn't shared with you as I had submitted them to mags but now I can share so here is the first one. I wanted this one to be really bright and bold....

I did it using a card kit from Crafty Templates and a couple of other bits. I like how the orange and blue contrast and the pink just makes it even more vibrant. A sunny theme was also appropriate as it was a gorgeous sunny day and I ended up getting so burnt I could barely walk.....not fun and not advisable!
